ABILITY

WHAT IS SUFFERABILITY?

“SUFFERABILITY — ABLE TO BE TOLERATED OR SUFFERED; ENDURABLE.”

Professional motorsports aren’t comfortable: whether you’re in a million-dollar trophy truck or on a second-hand motorcycle, they’re grimy and exhausting competitions of both mental and physical toughness. Those who can embrace the suffering are the ones who are most likely to win.

Sufferability is the conscious rejection of your limiters—those internal barriers that tell us to slow down or ease up, keeping us within our established comfort zone. But as we learn to be comfortable, we can also learn to suffer. By identifying these areas of weakness we can systematically improve, maximizing our own talent and abilities and push ourselves toward the podium.

Skills Screening

Motorsports are inherently risky activities, and carry potential for serious injury and death. Sufferability is intended for riders who already have a strong baseline athleticism and skillset on a motorcycle. For the safety of both the riders and instructors, all applicants will need to demonstrate competence in specific areas before the rider can attend. In the event the rider is not yet skilled enough to attend a Sufferability camp, a refund will be issued and recommendations for reputable intermediate or beginner camps can be provided. Any rider may re-apply if requirements are met later.

ABOUT SUFFERABILITY

Sufferability is the product of Nick Thompson, a racing veteran with 24 years of experience in endurance-style racing at the highest levels in circuits such as Desert Works Grand Prix and WORCS Endurocross. Nick has not only raced for factory teams, held sponsorships, and tested equipment: he has worked directly with WORCS and organizers to grow the sport.

Nick’s passion for racing has taken him through the ups and downs of the professional motorsports gauntlet. With Sufferability, he offers all the lessons he learned—what works and what doesn’t—to the next generation or riders looking to turn their passion and pastime into a profession.
